摘　　要：针对小波变换在指纹识别中的应用,提出了一种基于小波变换的图像增强算法,利用低频系数图像在小波域估计指纹纹线方向,抑制了高频噪声对纹线方向的影响,实验表明,该算法对纹线模糊的指纹图像增强效果明显。This paper introduces a new algorithm in fingerprint image enhancement. After normalized preproeessing and wavelet transforming, the effect of the low quality could be restrained. Then estimate ridge orientation, each direction coefficient images were enhanced based on the direction-map and further reconstruction. Simulation results on some typical images show that our proposed algorithm can enchance the fingerprint effectively.
