后殖民小说叙述策略的内涵和效果——评英国作家V.S.奈保尔的小说创作

摘　　要：奈保尔被誉为"英语后殖民小说三杰"之一。其作品一方面非常关注后殖民地社会的边缘人的根基丧失、家园失却、归属不定的虚无感和无根感,另一方面他毫不掩饰地表达他对殖民地社会的政治和文化的轻蔑和厌恶,并近乎冷酷地揭露和批评前殖民地社会政治的腐败和黑暗。他的作品多采用非情节化的叙述结构,表面看来头绪纷繁,实则是为了开创最好的服务于其创作目的的独特形式。此外,无叙述的叙述策略与小说主题相得益彰,既传递出传统小说无法表达的意蕴,又避免了后殖民小说虚无化的倾向,从而使其小说寓意深刻,独具艺术魅力。As one of the best postcolonial writers, V.S. Naipaul is excellent at using black humor to portray the senses ot homeless or roofless of the people in the former colonies; he also strongly expresses his despise and dislike to the political and social downsides of these countries and areas. In his works, Naipaul mainly adopts non-plot and non-narration narrative strategies which seem to make his works perplexed to read, but actually aim at achieving his writing purpose. These strategies can best match the theme of his works, which makes his works unique, valuable and charming.
