摘　　要：电力工业作为国民经济的基础产业和重要能源行业，同时也是工业用水大户，在我国水资源节约工作中具有特别重要的地位。合理利用水资源，积极应用先进成熟的节水技术，是促进电力工业健康发展的一项紧迫的战略性任务。The total volume of water resources in China is small and we cannot basically solve problems by building reservoirs and constructing water transfer projects. To construct a water-conserving society and improve the use efficiency and performance of water resources is the most fundamental and effective strategic measure for solving the shortage of water in China, especially in North China. The rich coal resources in North China ill match the distribution of water resources. Therefore, to strengthen the comprehensive utilization of water resources and actively adopt advanced and mature water-conserving technologies is the most effective approach for reconciling the conflict between the development of the power industry and the shortage of water resources
