摘　　要：本文从服装心理学的角度,着重讨论了美国作家德莱塞在其作品《嘉莉妹妹》中对"服饰"这一象征的运用,并且透过其对人物不同时期穿着,以及对"服饰"态度上的变化的相关描写,揭示"服饰"对人物阶级的标示作用。From the perspective of psychology of clothing, this paper focuses on a tentative analysis of the function of clothing in Theodore Dreiser＇s Sister Carrie, and by discussing the changes taking place in some characters＇ clothing and also in their attitudes toward clothing in different periods, the paper intends to uncover the important role the clothing plays in marking people＇s social classes.
