摘　　要：如何高效地存储和管理海量的遥感图像数据,使其更好地满足多用户访问和数据查询等需求,是当前研究的一个热点问题;索引是快速访问大型数据库的前提,构建索引在遥感图像数据库的管理中有着举足轻重的作用;鉴于此,该文提出了一种基于内容的遥感图像数据库的多维索引技术,笔者详细论述该索引方法的动机、原理和实现过程,最后将此索引方法应用于一个大型的遥感图像数据库中,实验数据验证了该方法的有效性。The problem of how to efficaciously store and manage the vast remote sensing image data for satisfying the demands of multi-user access and data query, is a very active and popular subject researched by many scholars today, It＇s well-known that indexes are the preconditions for accessing to the large database quickly, so it is very important to construct an index for the remote sensing image database, For this reason, it proposes a content-based multi-dimensional indexing technique for remote sensing image database. We detailed characterized the motivation, principle and implementation of this proposed indexing technique. Finally, this proposed indexing technique was applied to a vast remote sensing image database. The experimental result suggests that this proposed indexing technique is effective,
