摘　　要：镁作为一种地球上资源相当丰富的轻质工程材料,是21世纪最具生命力的绿色环保材料。介绍了镁及镁合金的特点,包括镁的优点及其发展的局限性,总结了它在汽车工业、电子工业及航空、航天等工业中的应用现状。Magnesium, as a kind of lightweight engineering material whose reserves is considera in the earth, is green environment-friendly materials for the 21st century. The characteristics o ble fM abundant agnesium and Magnesium alloys including its advantages and limitation were introduced. The application of Magnesium and Magnesium alloys in automotive, electronic, aviation and aerospace industry and so on was reviewed.
