摘　　要：对光频电磁波在通信领域的应用作了较为系统的阐述。首先，列出了光通信技术包括的光纤通信和光自由空间通信两大内容；接着，介绍了石英玻璃和塑料光纤通信、光大气通信、光星际通信线路以及水下光通信；最后，指出信息社会的技术基础将是光子与电子技术结合而形成的光电子技术。It is systematically described in this paper that the lightwave has been utilized inthe area of communication. First, the optical fiber communication are presented. Then, themore contents of optical communication, the glass and /or plastic fiber communication, theoptical atmosphere communication,the optical inter-satellites link and the optical communicationunder the water has been introduced. Finally,it is pointed that the technology bases ofinformation society will be opto-electronics which is combined by the photonics and electronics.
