摘　　要：AMBE-2000是一款性能优良的低速话音编解码芯片。论述了一种基于AMBE-2000芯片的低速声码器的设计方法。简要介绍了AMBE-2000的组成、功能特点和通信格式,分析了声码器的设计要点,阐述了声码器的工作原理,并给出了声码器的硬件、软件设计及实现方法。该声码器在实际应用中获得了满意效果。AMBE-2000 vocoder chip is a high-performance speech compression coder in low data rate. The design of a low data rate vocoder based on AMBE-2000 chip is introduced. The components、features、communicational format about AMBE-2000 chip is briefly introduced. The key points to design vocoder are described. And the theory of operation is expounded. Finally the design and implementation methods of hardware and software are presented. This vocoder has achieved satisfactory results in practical application.
