摘　　要：北宋时期,由于陇东地区处于北宋王朝和西夏政权交错的地区,因此,陇东地区受到了北宋王朝的重视。作为边疆地区,宋政府不仅派得力大员驻防,而且大规模修建城池。由于军事上的需要,是陇东地区小城镇大规模兴起的主要原因,故而,许多城镇因军事意义的消失而被废弃。北宋时期,陇东地区的小城镇具有军事、商业、行政管理、教育教化、居住等多个方面的功能。In the Northern Song Dynasty, Longdong region was situated in the border between the Northern Song and Xixia, and the government of the Northern Song attached much importance to the region. Longdong region was a frontier, so the government of the Northern Song sent competent officials to garrison there and built a number of towns. Due to the needs of the military, many towns were built in the region. On the contrary, quite a few towns were deserted. Generally, the function of the towns in Longdong region in the Northern Song Dynasty mainly had following functions ： military, business, administrative management, education and enlightenment, settlement and etc.
