Objective: To understand the mycoplasma infection condition of male and female, and analyze the drug sensitivity and resistance for male and female being infected by mycoplasmal fo provide a reference for the clinical work. Methods: 675 outpatients who were suspected or needed to expel nongonococcal urethritis(NGU) or mucopurulent cervicitis (MPC) were taken the sample from the urethra or cervix to carry out mycoplasma separation, authentication, count and drug sensitivity with the reagent kit. Results : For the mycoplasma infection rate, the male was 53.2% ( 202/380), and the female was 55.3% ( 163/295,): The comparison of infection rates of mycoplasma to the medicine sensitiveness of 9 kinds of antibiotics showed that only doxycycline appeared statistically difference in the high and medium degree of sensitiv!ty and the distribution of resistivity. Conclusion: It appears no statistically significance between the men and women's mycoplasma infection rates, including the rates of single ureaplasma urealyticum (Uu) infection, single mycoplasma hominis (Mh) infection or the Uu and Mh mixed infection. It shows no statistically significance in the sensitivity degrees among 8 kinds of antibiotics including josamycin, minocycline, azitromycin, sparfloxacin, roxithromyein, levofloxacin, ofloxacin and clindamycin.
