摘　　要：记述采自云南省绿春县牛孔乡的直翅目扁角蚱科扁角蚱属1新种:短背扁角蚱Flatocerus brachynotus sp.nov.,模式标本保存于中山大学生物博物馆。列出扁角蚱属的种检索表。In the present paper, a new species of the genus Flatocerus（Orthoptera, Discotettigidae） is described from Niukong Village, Luchuan County, Yunnan Province, Southwest China. Type speciments are deposited in die Biology Museum, Zhongshan University and Institute of Resource Insects of Chinense Academy of Forestry. Key to the species of the genus Flatocerus is gieve. Flatocerus branchynotus sp. nov. （Figs. 1-3） The new species is allied to F. nankunshanensis Liang et Zheng, 1998, but differs from it in： anterior margin of pronoturn produced in arc to obtuse angle; hind process of pronotum reaching the knee; upper margin of pronotum arc before shoulders, and fiat behind in profile; and prozona with lateral keels. Measurement （mm） ： length of body ♂ 8.0-8.9, ♀9.8-11.9; length ofpronotum ♂ 7.0-8.0, ♀6.4-7.9; length of hind femur ♂ 5.0-5.2, ♀5.1-5.6. Holotype ♂ , Yunnan, Luchun, Niukong, （22°53′N, 101°56′E, alt. 1 100-1 300m）, 4 June 2006, collected by CHEN Yan-Lin. Paratypes： 6 ♂♂ , 9 ♀♀, 4 June-30 Dec. 2006, same data as holotype. 1 ♀, Yunnan, Puer, Caiyanghe Nature Reserve, 29 July 2007,collected by LIANG Ge-Qiu.
