摘　　要：知人论世,要评价后来的张之洞,应该先了解"清流"张之洞。"清流"时期张之洞的交友方式和政治行为,已经表露出他的志向,在于官场速化,而不是其他。他不具备一个划时代人物所应有的人品和理想主义精神。这样的人品和政治抱负,决定了他是旧体制的维护者,而不是新时代的开辟者。At the time of 'Qing Liu',Zhang Zhidong's model of making friends and political behavior had revealed his ambition,which lied in the government,but was not other.The moral behavior and the political aspiration had decided he was the old system vindicator,not the new times opening.Only had we understand Zhang Zhidong.at the time of 'Qing Liu',we can appraise Zhang Zhidong.He didn't have the moral behavior and the idealism spirit which an epoch-making character should have.
