摘 要:偏振相关损耗(PDL)引起的自发辐射(ASE)噪声偏振化是导致偏振分光方法监测光信噪比(OSNR)不准确的重要因素,分别研究了ASE噪声与信号偏振平行和偏振正交2种情况下OSNR监测的误差,推导得出了误差计算公式并通过仿真实验得到验证。理论分析和信真实验结果表明:测量误差随着ASE噪声偏振度(DOP)的增加而变大,且与待测信道本身的OSNR基本无关;比较而言,ASE噪声与信号偏振平行时对监测的影响更严重。当与信号偏振平行的ASE噪声的DOP为0.75时,误差值达6dB。The accuracy of OSNR measurement based on the polarization-nulling method could be degraded significantly when the ASE noise is partially polarized due to the polarization-dependent loss(PDL). The monitoring error caused by the polar ized ASE noise which is polairzed parallel and orthogonal to the signal is investigated respectively. The analytical expression of measurement error is also educed and proved by simulating. The results of theoretically analysis and simulation indicate that:the OSNR monitoring error increases with the degree of polarization(DOP) of the ASE noise,and it is independent on the channel's OSNR;when the polarization state of the partially polarized noise is parallel with the signal,the effect caused by the noise is more seriously. As the DOP of the ASE noise which align to the signal polarization increases to 0. 75, the OSNR error increases to 6 dB.
