摘　　要：2007年7月11～14日，由中国社会科学院考古研究所、中国科学出版集团科学出版社和内蒙古文物考古研究所共同发起和组织的“中国大遗址保护研讨会”在内蒙古呼和浩特市召开。出席本次大会的120位代表来自全国26个省、自治区和直辖市的近60个单位，所属单位有科研院所、大学、行政管理和新闻出版等部门，所从事的主要工作为文物考古、文物规划、文物保护、文物管理、The convening of the ＂Symposium on the Protection of Large Sites in China＂ expressed to the full the eager desire of protecting large sites in current academic circles and embodied scholars＇ attention to this work. The subjects discussed at the conference covered the most urgent problems in the protection of the cultural heritage represented by large sites. Combining theory with practice and dealing with problems from multiple angles and in connection with concrete cases, the attendants made systematic analyses and excellent statement on the urgency and difficulties of the work, its basic concept, principles and methods and the forms of using large sites. They reached a series of common viewpoints on the current protection of Chinese cultural heritage and other problems, which will exert a deep-going influence upon the cause of protecting cultural heritage in our country.
