摘　　要：气象传真图的信息量非常大.对其进行数据压缩,不仅可以在有限的空间内存储更多的图像,而且可以有效地降低传输时间,对于海上航行的船舶及时地掌握气象信息、降低气象风险大有帮助.在此采用一维修改的Huffm an码对气象传真图进行压缩处理,并依据查表法对气象传真图像进行解压处理.实验证明,该方法可以满足气象传真图关于压缩比和压缩速度的要求,该方法是可行的.The quantity of information in a meteorological facsimile chart is huge. The data compression of charts can help us to store more images in a limited memory device, and reduce the transmission time effectively as well. So it is helpful for ships on the sea to obtain the weather information in time and lower the potential risks. In this paper, we compress the meteorological facsimile charts with one-dimensional modified Huffman code, and decom- press them by checking the corresponding table. The results show that the method can satisfy the requirements of compression ratio and speed. So it is proved to be feasible theoretically.
