摘　　要：本文旨在运用后殖民理论剖析美国华裔作家汤亭亭对中国传统的"失真"叙述。分析研究表明,汤亭亭通过戏仿创造了一种居于原体的相似和不似之间的"他体"。这种叙述削弱并颠覆了西方思维和叙事方式的整体性和一贯性,从而有利于华裔美国作家发掘"边缘"蓄积的力量,重新界定自己的身份并最终达到自我赋权。This paper intends to study the de-familiarization we find in Maxine Hong Kingston＇ s narration of the Chinese culture and tradition from the viewpoint of post - colonialism. By means of mimicry, Kingston is creating an “Other,” which stands in between the subject and the object, thus strategically undermining and subverting the established system of western ideology and rhetoric practice, and making it possible for Chinese - American writers to reclaim their cultural identity and become powerful.
