论《黑暗的心脏》主人公马洛的多面性

摘　　要：本文分别采用传统批评中的“心理性”人物观及叙事学“功能性”人物观的分析方法，对《黑暗的心脏》的主人公马洛的人物角色多面性进行分析。在作品内容上，马洛充当作者的代言人，在小说中扮演重要的角色；形式上，马洛具有特别的叙事作用，并因为审美距离的设置赋予作品特殊的审美意义。特殊叙述者兼核心人物马洛的引进是康拉德对现代小说艺术手法的一大贡献，对该人物多面性的研究可以进一步认识到他对小说的意义，从而加深对小说的理解。The article analyzes the faces of Marlow in terms of both the content and the form of the novel by applying the psychological and functional methods ofanalysis. On the one hand, Marlow serves as the speaker of the author and plays an important role in the novel. On the other hand, Marlow acts as a narrator and adds to the aesthetic effects due to the“aesthetic distance”designed in the work. The introduction of Marlow as both a major character and a special narrator in the novel is a main contribution to modem fiction by Conrad. The study on multi-faces of Marlow is intended to gain further insights by discovering the significance in his novel so as to deepen the understanding of the work.
