Objective: In order to provide the scientific evidence for clinical use of Fructus Gardeniae with different processing form, the comparative pharmacodynamical study was carried out on elution Parts of Fructus Gardeniae and Fructus Gardeniae Praeparatus eluted by 50% or 95 % alcohol separately. Methods'. To observe the influence of elution parts of Fructus Gardeniae and Fructus Gardeniae Praeparatus eluted by 50% or 95 % alcohol on inflammatory, sedative, blood coagulation, and hepatic injury induced by CCL. Results: The experimental eluted parts have shown significant effects of anti-inflammatory, while neither of them has shown sedative effects or protective effect against hepatic injury induced by CCl4 . In addition, the elution part of Fructus Gardeniae Praeparatus eluted by 95 % alcohol, has effect of promoting blood coagulation. Conclusion: The experimental elution parts of Fructus Gardenia and Stir-baked Fructus Gardeniae Praeparatus have show obvious effects of anti-inflammatory. Eluted part of Stir-baked Fructus Gardeniae Praeparatus by 95 % alcohol has shown better effect of promoting blood coagulation. None of the eluted parts showed obvious sedative or hepatic protective effects.
