摘　　要：执政党建设是中国共产党在新世纪新阶段所面对着的一个重大而迫切的问题。党的十七大报告和新党章对此作了创造性地回答。在新时期作为中国特色社会主义的执政党必须保持先锋队的作用，搞好执政党自身建设，始终坚定地走在时代的前列；必须以改革创新的精神，突出执政能力建设，实现立党为公、执政为民的本质，落实科学发展观，切实推进执政党的建设。Construction of the party in power is a significant and imminent problem Communist Party of China faces in the new century. The 17th Report of our Party as well as the new party constitution give this a creative answer. The party in power must maitain the role of pioneer and always stands in front of the time, besids, it must do well in its self-construction to achive its goal of being in office and put forward the concept of scientific development with the spirit of reform and creation.
