摘　　要：中国20世纪的新图书馆运动与21世纪的新图书馆运动是对我国图书馆事业的发展方向、服务方式、服务理念产生深远影响的两次图书馆运动。这两次新图书馆运动在其发生的背景、推动我国图书馆人文精神和研究方面所做的贡献及其对中国图书馆理论与实践所产生的意义等方面都各自有其独特之处。The two new library movements in the history of Chinese libraries have deeply influenced many aspects of Chinese librarianship such as its direction of development, modes of service and serving concept. This article compares 20th century new library movement with 21 st century new library movement from the aspects of historical backgrounds, contributions for promoting the humanism spirit and researches of the Chinese library and the significance in the theory and practice of the Chinese library.
