摘　　要：厦门重视城市园林绿化工作,按照生态园林城市的要求编制城市绿地系统规划,经过几十年努力,提前实现了绿化和美化目标,于2005年1月成功申办第六届中国国际园林花卉博览会。园博园面积宏大,水陆交错,建成后即是一个生态大观园,也是一个文化和艺术的大观园,对厦门建设生态园林城市,逐步成为生态和谐型、环境友好型、资源节约型社会将起到举足轻重的作用。The Xiamen Government has attached great importance to city plantation. All the urban green space systems were planned according to the requirements of the ecological garden city. With decades of great efforts, we achieve the city plantation and beautification goals head of time. In January 2005, Xiamen successfully bid for the 6th China International Garden ＆Flower EXPO. The CIGF EXPO park, which covers a large area with water and land intersection, will be a big ecological park as well as a park of culture and art. It will play an important role in preparing Xiamen for an ecological garden city, an ecological and environmental-friendly and resource-conserving society.
