摘 要:本文试图从理性主义角度重新审视李普曼思想的价值与困局。李普曼的政治理性的价值在于,不回避人的非理性,不屈从于各种常规、禁忌,而是遵从事实与真相,开放人的主体意识。而其根本性的理论盲点表现为:夸大公众理性能力的缺失,同时又忽视理性自身的内在局限,从而陷入由科学所导引的技术理性的幻觉。超越李普曼的可能性在于回到"完整的人"的理念上来,祛除单向地把人想象为理性的人或非理性的人的观念,而真正的"理性的驾驭"是让公众面对真相、面对事实,提供讨论公共利益的无限多样的可能性,相互尊重每个人的传播权利。This article attempts to reread and analyze the value and predicament of Walter Lippmann's thoughts from a new perspective of rationalism. It is true that the value' of Lippmann's political rationalism relies on the fact that he conforms to the truths and releases the public's consciousness instead of avoiding the human being's irrationalism and lending himself to all sorts of routines and taboos. However, the fundamental theoretical blind spot of his thoughts are as follows: exaggerating the lack of the public's rational a-bility and neglecting the internal limitation of rationalism itself so as to resort ing to technical rationalism that is guided by science. In order to surpass the limitation of Lippmann's thoughts, it is necessary to turn back to the concept of 'Complete Person' and no longer regard the public as either absolutely rational person or absolutely irrational person. In fact, 'Rational Mastery' means that let the public face the facts and truths, provide all kinds of possibility of discussing the public interests and respect the individual rights of communication mutually.
