摘　　要：第3届全国城运会是建国以来江苏省首次承办的全国综合性运动会。运用系统科学的思想和方法筹备和办赛是城运会取得圆满成功的重要经验之一。把承办城运会作为一次庞大的社会系统工程,统筹规则,统一部署;举省一致,科学组织;协同配合,整体推进;科学管理、程序决策。充分体现了系统科学的理论和方法在承办大型综合性运动会中的意义和作用。The 3rd National Urban Games was sponsored at the first time by Jiangsu Province since the founding of PRC. One of its successful experience was the application of the ideas and mathods of systems science to preparing and running the Games. Operated as a huge social systems project, through overall plannings and unitary deployments, united scientific arrangements all over the province, accordant coordination and synchronously progressing, scientific managements and orderly decision-makings, it reflected the significance and effects of systems science in this kind of comprehensive games.
