摘　　要：著名爱国民主人士黄统先生生前反对蒋介石独裁统治,关心国计民生与国家前途命运,并曾积极为新生的人民政权出谋划策。作者撷取其一生中为建都关中不辞奔走、建议修建"米"字型铁路干线、建议开发"大西北"和竭尽全力为陕西文教事业效力四个方面的史实作以介绍,以期能对当前从事经济和社会建设的人们有所启迪。Mr. Huang Tong, a renowned patriotic democratic personage, opposed the Chiang Kai- Shek dictatorship rule, cared about the people＇s livelihood and the country＇s fate and tried to find the mew way for the newborn people＇ s regime, This article picks up four historical facts, such as his efforts on founding a capital in the middle part of shaanxi, his proposal of building the glyph railroad skeleton line and developing the great northwest and his contribution on Shaanxi＇ s culture and education, to inspire those people who are engaged in economy and society construction.
