摘 要:目前,美国有相当比例的逆向转学大学生在四年制和两年制学院间流动。应用组织学理论视角,阐释两年制社区学院职能动态的演变,探究逆向转学趋势的缘起及其对学生和院校产生的社会影响。只有全面了解其正面和负面影响,才能充分认识和理解逆向转学现象的复杂性。逆向转学现象与社区学院在高等教育、经济发展和社会机遇等方面综合职能的演变密切相关。它很可能是两年制学院职能扩展产生的结果,对学生和院校可能产生积极效应。然而,逆向转学所引发的公平性和效率问题还有待深入的探讨。A growing number of reverse transfer students attend community colleges the same time they are enrolled at a four-year institution or after they earn a bachelor's degree.It is useful to investigate the origin and the social impact of this trend.By applying organizational theory,this paper interprets the dynamic evolution of the multiple missions of two-year community colleges and explores the effects of reverse transfer on both students and institutions.Both positive and negative potential effects of reverse transfer have to be studied in order to understand the complexity of this phenomenon.Reverse transfer is closely related to the evolution of the comprehensive function of community colleges in higher education,in economic development and in opportunities.Reserve transfer is likely a result of mission expansion of two-year colleges and is likely to have positive consequences on both students and community colleges.Community colleges may be able to increase their enrollment,to improve the quality of classroom instruction and to improve efficiency by recruiting reverse transfer students.However,the equity and efficiency effects of reverse transfer are open to further discussion.
