摘　　要：通过分析古代地区表下各古代国家的历史,研究《中图法》(四版)类目划分的基本原则与修订重点,分析了"198古代地区"立类的合理性,并建议在198各下级类目增加类目注释,并修改类目注释示例。This article, through analyzing the histories of every ancient countries, makes research in the principles of and revised emphasis of ＂Chinese Library Classification （Fourth edition）＂, analyses the rationality of ＂ 198 World Ancient Times Area＂ as well as gives suggestions that notes added under 198.
