摘  要:发光二极管(Light Emitting Diode,LED)光源具有光效高、光色全、寿命长、环保、尺寸小等优点,能够应用在各种各样的照明、显示、背光等领域。LED在提升光源质量和效用的同时,能够节约能源,保护环境,有利于国计民生的和谐发展,因此发展LED照明具有重大意义。本文在分析LED发光机理的基础上,阐述了LED半导体材料的发展历程,介绍了LED光源的优点和几个主要的应用场合,分析了国内外LED产业的发展状况,并指出LED光源面临的几个问题,最后对LED的现状及发展进行了总结与展望。Light emitting diode(LED) is now emerging as an energy-efficiet, high color rendering, long-life, environment-friendly,smallsize alternative to conventional electrical lighting. It can be applied in a variety of fields such as lighting, display, backlight and so on. LED can not only improve the light quality and effect but also help us to save energy,reduce environmental pollution. Developing LED industry has great significance for the national economy and the people's livelihood. In this paper, the mechanism of LED lighting is in troduced. Then we trace the historical evolution of the LED semiconductor material. The advantage together with the main application field of I.ED is also introduced. After a review of the present status of LED industry home and abroad,some problems which lie ahead are listed. Eventually the summary is made.
