摘　　要：战略家型校长的出现,是大学推行战略管理的呼唤。大学战略管理的成败,关键在于领导者尤其是大学校长在实施战略管理过程中能否实现从传统角色到战略家型校长的角色转变,是否具备战略家型校长的素质能力。战略家型大学校长的主要职能在于能否凝练办学理念、做出有效的战略决策、组建战略团队、推进战略评估和反馈等。当前我国应从制度上入手构建战略家型大学校长的培养与生成机制。The appearance of the president of strategist type is that the call of the university strategtc management. The key factor of the success or failure of university strategic management is the leader, especially the president who could or not realize the change from traditional role to strategist type role in the course of implementing strategic management; whether the president possess the quality ability of strategist and could or not realize the function of holding the university strategic direction, making effective strategic policy, setting up strategic group, advancing the assess and feedback of strategy etc.. Our country should construct the cultivation and producing mechanism of the university president of the strategist type and from the system at present.
