摘　　要：全面分析西方传教士对中国近代太平天国运动、戊戌维新运动、义和团运动、辛亥革命等四大政治运动的态度。探讨西方传教士除了对义和团运动采取敌视态度之外,对其它三大革命运动基本上都表示支持的原因。揭示西方传教士在中国的活动既加速了中国半殖民地化进程,又在客观上促进了中西文化的互动发展,进而从异质文化的碰撞、选择、融合的角度来评判西方传教士的在华活动。The attitude of western missionaries towards the Taiping Revolutionary Movement, the Wuxu Modernization Movement, the Yihetuan Revolutionary Movement and the Xinhai Revdutionary Movement in modern China is analyzed. It is discussed that the western missionaries adopt hostile attitude towards the Yihetuan Revolutionary Movement, but towards the other three revolutions, they mainly adopt supportive attitude. Moreover, the western missionaries＇ activities which both quicken semi -colony in China and promote the mutual development on sino -Western culture are revealed. Furthermore, the western missionaries＇ activities in China are judged from explaining the collision, option and integration of different cultures.
