摘　　要：本文通过对江苏沿江地区乡村城市化总体特征的分析与运行机制的探讨指出，该区乡村城市化的核心是人口和就业问题,其乡镇企业的布局应结合小城镇建设适当集中，由此带来城镇第三产业的发展以吸纳更多的农村剩余劳动力，从而加速乡村城市化的步伐．Through analyzing general characteristics and managing mechanism of rural urbanizationin the areas along the side of the Yanghe River, this paper points out that the core issues ofit are population and emplopoent. The layout of rural - town enterprises should be adequatelyconcentrated to fGllow small towns' construction so as to promote the development of theirtertiary industry and to absorb more rural surplus labor. This can accelerate the proceeding ofrural urbainzation.
