摘　　要：首先介绍全球定位系统(GPS)的基本工作原理及其通常所采用的通信协议,在此基础上以GARMIN公司出品的GPS15L芯片为例,采用Visual C++6.0的MSComm控件实现GPS—OEM与PC机之间的串口(RS232)通信,实现GPS定位信息的采集和提取,并给出部分关键程序代码。This paper firstly introduces the basic working principle of GPS and the communication protocol which is used by GPS receiver, and then with the example of the GPS 15L chip made by GARMIN Technology company, a solution based on the MSComm component of Visual C＋＋6.0 is presented, which achieves the transmission and display of position messages from GPS receiver to PC via serial port （RS232）o Finally a part of the codes are provided.
