摘　　要：结合设计实例，介绍了第三代海底光通信的最新技术，为海底光缆通信系统工程设计提供了思路。最后，探讨了海底光缆通信的发展趋势。The paper combines with design instance and describs the latest technology of the third generation of undersea optical fiber communication,and offers a new methord for the deseign of the undersea optical fiber communication systems. Filnally we discuss the prospect for its developments.
