摘　　要：Global M&A upstream deal count and asset deal value both reached record highs of in 2007,although total transaction value slipped to just under US$154 billion from US$166 billion in 2006,accord- ing to the 2008 Global Upstream M&A Review prepared by John S.Herold,Inc., an IHS company(NYSE:IHS),and Har- rison Lovegrove & Co.,Ltd.,a Standard Chartered group company.This review provides a comprehensive analysis of more than 330 significant upstream transactions that were announced in 2007.Global M＆A upstream deal count and asset deal value both reached record highs of in 2007, although total transaction value slipped to just under US$154 billion from US$166 billion in 2006, according to the 2008 Global Upstream M＆A Review prepared by John S.
