摘　　要：对于大范围区域内的遥感影像的存储、管理、显示,传统的投影系统已经存在不连续、不适合多尺度多分辨率等多方面的明显局限,本文简要介绍了基于正八面体的QTM球面剖分方法,论述了基于QTM球面模型的分布式遥感影像浏览系统,为大区域大范围内的遥感影像浏览提供了有效的解决方法。This paper introduce QTM （Quarternary Triangular Mesh）into the distributed remote sensing data browser system on global view , QTM（Quarternary Triangular Mesh）is an efficient method in managing the global large quantities of the remote sensing data of the Earth and at the same time, the traditional projection system is not fit to manage the large quantities of the remote sensing data in multidimension and multiresolution.
