摘　　要：《玉器起源探索——兴隆洼文化玉器研究及图录》一书主要是研究辽西地区内蒙古敖汉旗兴隆洼遗址和兴隆沟遗址出土的距今8000年前后的玉器。The book Research on the Origin of Jades： A Study and Album of Xinglongwa Culture Jades jointly compiled and published by the Institute of Archaeology, CASS, and the Center for Chinese Archaeology and Art, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, describes all the jades round 8000 BP unearthed from the Xinglongwa site and expounds comprehensively the results of their studies. It makes a multi-angle discussion on related problems, such as the origin and diffusion, the use and using manner and the making technology of jade jue penannular rings round 8000 BP, which makes up a series of academic research gaps concerned with the inceptive stage of jades in China and even in whole Eastern Asia, and initiates a new approach to research on the jades of remote antiquity by means of archaeological micro-user analysis and modern scientific and technical photography with high-power digital cameras.
