摘　　要：提出一种Java connector方式制作动态专题图,并与ArcIMS制作动态专题图的另一种方式即定制开发ArcXML方式作了对比。前者直接编辑ArcXML文件,操作过程复杂、不易扩展,难以达到动态制作的目的;后者实现了ArcXML到Java对象的映射,支持面向对象的方式开发,省去了处理繁琐的ArcXML过程。重点以实际应用中制作专题统计图、分类图为例,采用会话对象存储动态数据,结合Java connector的面向对象开发功能,从数据角度和显示角度实现制作动态专题图的目的。实践表明,采用Java connector方式灵活方便、切实可行。Little work was reported where ArcIMS was employed to generate dynamic thematic maps, two methods were briefly discussed, which were editing ArcXML and applying Java connector. The former edited ArcXML files directly ,which was complicated and hard to be extended, and moreover unable to customize dynamic variables. While the later supports Java connector object model, it could process dynamic variables without handling ArcXML tags. The main emphasis was placed on how to use renderer object model to make thematic maps under different data sources. Specially, a specific example of using session object to store dynamic data is given to demonstrate its flexibility.
