摘　　要：理工科大学要推动核心竞争力的全面提升和整体实力的飞跃,必须紧紧抓住机遇,大力发展哲学社会科学。理工科大学发展哲学社会科学是增强核心竞争力的需要,是培养全面发展的高素质人才的需要,是为现代化建设服务的需要。理工科大学发展哲学社会科学,应遵循自身发展的实际,把握哲学社会科学发展的规律和特点,加强哲学社会科学学科建设,建立科学规范的哲学社会科学管理制度,建设高素质的哲学社会科学队伍,坚持正确方向,加强组织领导。Universities of science and technology must seize the opportunities to vigorously develop philosophy and social sciences in order to promote the overall improvement of core competitiveness and integral strength . Development of philosophy and social science in universities of science and technology is the demand to improve the core competitiveness, to cultivate high - quality talents with overall development as well as to serve the modernization. Development of philosophy and social science in universities of science and technology should follow the practical situation of development, master the development rules and characteristics of philosophy and social sciences, enhance the discipline construction of philosophy and social sciences, establish scientific and standardized management system for philosophy and social sciences, construct a high quality team of philosophy and social sciences, adhere to correct direction and strengthen organization leadership.
