摘　　要：目的:通过检测基质金属蛋白酶8(MMP-8)mRNA在根尖肉芽肿和根尖囊肿组织中的表达,探讨其在根尖肉芽肿和根尖囊肿的骨破坏和疾病进展中的作用。方法:采用逆转录聚合酶链反应(RT-PCR)方法检测22例根尖肉芽肿、11例根尖囊肿及10例正常根尖周组织MMP-8 mRNA的表达。结果:根尖肉芽肿组和根尖囊肿组MMP-8 mRNA表达的阳性率均高于正常根尖周组(P<0.01)。根尖肉芽肿组和根尖囊肿组的MMP-8 mRNA的表达水平均高于正常组(P<0.01)。根尖肉芽肿组与根尖囊肿组MMP-8 mRNA比较差异无显著性(P>0.05)。结论:MMP-8的表达可能参与根尖肉芽肿和根尖囊肿的发病过程,并在骨破坏中发挥作用。Objective To discuss the role of matrix metalloproteinase-8 （MMP-8） mRNA in apical granuloma and periapical cyst by detecting the its expressions in the periapical granuloma and periapical cyst. Methods Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） technique was used to measure the expressions of MMP-8 mRNA in 22 cases of periapical granuloma, 11 cases of periapical cyst and 10 cases of normal periapical tissues. Results The positive rates and the levels of MMP-8 mRNA expression in apical granulomas and periapical cysts were significantly higher than those in normal tissues （P〈0.01）. However, the expression of MMP-8 mRNA was not obviously different between apical granuloma and periapical cyst （P〉0.05）. Conclusion The expression of MMP-8 may play an important role in the pathogenesy of apical granuloma and periapical cyst, and it may be involved in the process of bone destruction.
