摘　　要：棉花球运动是土家族人在长期的生产、生活中发明和流传下来的一项传统民族体育项目。有关部门在教育和体育发展纲要中都提出了发展民族体育的相关方针,对流传于我国武陵地区的湖北、湖南、四川、云南、贵州等地的棉花球运动在高校体育教育中推广的可行性进行了研究,并提出可行路径。Cotton ball sport is a traditional ethnic sport. It is invented and handed down by the minority goup-tujia in their work and daily lives and it exists in Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Guizhou and other regions.The guideline for the development of education and sports set out the objective to develop ethnic sports. I work on the feasibility study for the application of cotton ball sport in the physical education in institutions of higher education and put forward some practicable solutions to it.
