摘 要:The sand grain dissolution process in the glass furnace is very important from the standpoint of final glass quality. In this paper, a mathematical modeling is presented to describe the sand grain dissolution in the glass bated or in the glass melt. The calculations showed the sand grain dissolution process depended strongly on temperature and initial sand grain diameter. Forced and free convection in the glass melt can also increase the dissolution rate.
