摘　　要：1895年中日甲午战争,清政府被迫签订丧权辱国的《马关条约》,割让台湾、澎湖列岛及附属岛屿给日本。不愿做亡国奴的台湾人民,为保卫国家领土,在求内无应、求外无援的情况下成立了台湾民主国。台湾民主国作为历史发展的产物,从萌芽到消亡,存在时间长达六月之余。文章根据史料对台湾民主国的上下限进行研究,以期对评价历史人物,还原历史事实提供重要的史学价值。In 1895, China-Japan War, Qing government was forced to sign ＂ Maguan Treaty＂ in which Taiwan and Penghu islands were given to Japan. pepole in Taiwan established Taiwan democratic State since they didn＇ t want to be enslaved by Japan. From the beginning to the end the State existed 6 months. The paper researched the upper and lower time limit of this State to comment on the historical figures,which offers also significant historical reference.
