摘　　要：伊莎贝尔·阿切尔是亨利·詹姆斯国际题材小说杰作《一位女士的画像》中的"美国女孩"形象,她的行动演绎并塑造着美国民族文化。伊莎贝尔在三个不同类型男子之间的情感选择,彰显了美国式自由精神及超脱一切的理想化本质,而其对于家庭责任感的道德恪守,不仅昭示出清教精神渊源,更是亨利·詹姆斯对美国民族文化的想象性构想。Isabel Archer is ＂the American Girl＂ in The Portrait of a Lady of Henry James＇s international fiction; her actions demonstrate and mold American national culture. Isabel Archer showed an American type free spirit and its essence of super to take off everything when she selects her affection in three different types mans. She to the serious morality of family sense of responsibility carefully obeys, not only clearly show the origin of Puritanism spirit, more is James＇s imaginary reconstruction of American nation culture.
