摘　　要：针对英语词汇习得这一普遍存在的难题,利用认知语言学中概念隐喻理论的跨域印射功能,以具体形象的实例展示该理论在习得英语词汇,特别是具有抽象意义的词汇时的优势,并由此对大学英语教材单词表编写给予建议,力图探索一条英语词汇习得的新途径。Vocabulary acquisition has long been considered the biggest obstacle in English learning. In light of the Cognitive conceptual metaphor theory and its cross-domain mapping function, this paper illustrates in detail their application in acquiring vocabulary esp. those with abstract meanings. In addition, it gives advice to the compiling of vocabulary list in College English textbooks, thus putting forward a new approach to vocabulary learning.
