摘　　要：他不是一个“成功”的包工头，在外漂泊打工多年，被坑得欠了一屁股债；他不是一个好父亲，两个女儿为了偿还他欠下的巨债，先后辍学外出打工，大女儿出嫁时，他陪送的嫁妆只是四床棉被。He was not a 'successful' labor contractor. He wandered everywhere to work for many years and earned no money, instead he owed a lot of debts because he was cheated by others. He was not a good farther, either. His two daughters left school and went out to seek jobs successively in order to pay back the great debt owed by him. The marriage portion he gave to his elder daughter was only four cotton quilts. However, in the eyes of workers he once led, he was a 'great man'. He recorded each sum of money, which he owed to these farmer workers, in the book as well as in the heart. He and his family made the greatest effort to work and finally they were going to pay off all these debts after 12 years.
