摘　　要：近年来,高速网络技术和多媒体工作站技术的进步极大地推动了分布式多媒体系统的发展出现了很多分布式多媒体应用,用户对这些应用一般都有一定程度的服务质量QoS(Quality of ervice)Distributed multimedia applications need powerful QoS support from distributed multimedia systems. In this paper,starting from describing the insufficient QoS management support in the existing computer networks,we discuss those basic QoS management viewpoints in the distributed multimedia systems, and induce basic functions which QoS management should have. Then. the QoS management design and implementation principles are given. Finally, several QoS management examples are presented.
