摘　　要：V.S.奈保尔在其写作生涯里始终面临两个世界的双重困境,无法完全认同其中任何一方,游离于两个世界之间,在边缘写作。与大多数后殖民作家一样,由于复杂独特的文化身份因素的影响,导致作家主要以叙述个人移民史、家族迁移史、族群苦难史作为对抗主流文化、文学的策略。V. S. Naipaul has been faced with the dilemma of two worlds during his writing career. He can not identify himself with either side completely, so he is wandering between these two worlds, writing on the margin. Due to the influence of his complex and unique cultural identity, Naipaul adopts mainly the narrative of the history of his personal immigration, family immigration and the suffering of his ethnic group as the strategy to resist the mainstream culture and literature, as the majority of postcolonial writers do.
