摘　　要：随着 Internet 的飞速发展,IPv4的缺陷逐渐凸现。本文从 IPv6在地址空间、服务质量、移动性能、网络安全技术等方面的优势分析入手,探讨了 IPv6应用于气象网络建设的过渡技术及策略,简述了 IPv6技术的发展现状,论述了 IPv6取代 IPv4的必然性。Several issues associated with IPv4 technology are emerging with the recent development of Internet. This paper addresses the technical progress made by IPv6 technology in the aspects of addressing space, service quality, mobility performance and networking security. The transition technology and strategy of applying IPv6 to the construction of meteorologic networks is discussed. The development of IPv6 technology is also briefly reviewed. Finally, the necessity of replacing IPv4 by IPv6 is concluded.
