摘　　要：宗教和文学是社会意识形态的两个重要的组成部分。本文通过阐述宗教对人们思想价值的影响,结合美国早期文学思潮和早期作家作品,力图勾画出美国早期文学中人神关系从早期的重神轻人到人本主义的演变过程。这一过程揭示了文学中宗教实体的演变和社会的发展息息相关。了解这种变化对于理解宗教的本质及美国早期文学中宗教的影响都有着重要的意义。Religion and literature are two essential components of social ideology. By elaborating on the effects on human beings＇ thought brought by religion and analyzing the ideas and works during the early period of American literature, this paper strives to draw the outline of the evolutionary process of Human-God relationship from looking up on God and down on Human to Humanism. This process reveals the close relationship between the evolution of religion and the development of society. It is of great importance to know the evolutionary process, which helps to understand the essence of religion as well as its effects on American literature in the early period.
