摘　　要：我国图书馆学界将维护信息公平和知识自由作为图书馆事业追求的目标与理念。信息公平是社会整体信息利益分配状态,知识自由是社会成员正当知识行为的权利保障。保障个体知识自由是图书馆的工作职责,维护社会信息公平是图书馆的社会使命与价值追求。China＇s library science academia takes the maintenance of information fairness and intellectual freedom as the goal and philosophy of the librarianship. Information fairness is the distribution situation of social information benefits, and intellectual freedom is the right protection for the legitimate knowledge conduct of social members. It is the duty of the library to protect the individual intellectual freedom, and safeguarding social information fairness is the social mission and values of the library.
