摘　　要：简述炉外处理技术的产生、特点，及其在现代炼钢生产结构优化中所起的作用。它是现代钢铁企业（厂）发展短流程工艺不可缺少的中间工序。它对扩大品种、提高产品质量、节能降耗、减少环境污染。This paper briefly describes the origin and characteristic of treatment technology outside converter as well as its effect on optimization of modern steelmaking structure. It is necessary intermediate process to develop 'short flow process' in modern iron and steel enterprises. This technology plays an important role in increasing varieties,improving product quality. saving energy and reducing consumption as well as reducing environmental pollution.
